Greeting of the Programming Committee of the

92nd DKG Annual Meeting & Symposium on High-Performance Ceramics 2017


Dear members, colleagues and friends,
 

As chairmen of the Programming Committee, we would like to cordially invite you to the 92nd Annual Meeting of the Deutsche Keramische Gesellschaft (German Ceramic Society / DKG), which will take place from March, 19th to 22nd 2017 at the Technische Universität Berlin.

As in previous years, the conference will be conducted along with the reputable International Symposium on High-Performance Ceramics of the Community Committee of the DKG and DGM. In the coming year again, this annual industry sector meeting will offer an excellent framework for Ceramists from industry, education, and research & development to present their results, receive stimulation from the comprehensive programme of oral presentations and posters, and first and foremost to intensely discuss with peers.

Building on the experience from the 91st DKG Annual Meeting in Freiberg (2016), we strive to make the conference even more attractive by a mixture of proven traditions and further renewals:

  • Additive manufacturing, Bioceramics and Biocomposites, Carbon Materials, Joining Technology, and Fundamental research in materials science are in the focus of the scientific programme this year.
     
  • Invited speakers from Belarus - the partner country of the 92nd Annual Meeting of the DKG – present current developments in the field of ceramic materials in industry and research.
     
  • A presentation of the research environment in the Berlin-Brandenburg region stimulates interdisciplinary exchange.
     
  • Further main topics of the 2017 conference reflect the new DKG matrix structure of Expert Committees and Areas of Expertise.
     
  • The conference will be further internationalized by a consistent preparation of presentation slides and posters in English and by the intensified invitation of foreign specialists.
     

Please submit an abstract of your paper or poster in English (max. 1.500 characters / max. 6 Authors) online under www.2017.dkg.de

We especially invite young scientists and students to present their papers and posters at this international conference.

Please already reserve March, 19th to 22nd 2017 in your calendar to hear inspiring talks at the 92nd DKG Annual Meeting and Symposium on High-Performance Ceramics.
