Your Submission

We would like to encourage you to give a lecture as a participant at the DKG Annual Meeting 2017 or to present your research results to a broad international audience with a poster. It is also possible for you to submit multiple contributions. For organizational reasons, we ask you to pay attention to the following information for your participation as lecturer or author of a poster. Please read this page carefully and completely!

Your Short Abstract:

  • Your submission will be assessed in advance by the Program Committee. The committee decides by means of your Short Abstract. Your Short Abstract is also published in the abstract volume of the conference, together with your contact details and the co-authors of the contribution.
  • The Short Abstracts need to be submitted via the congress management system. Please note the following:
    • They must be written in English.
    • A maximum of 6 authors are allowed.
    • The contents of your Short Abstractmust not exceed 1.500 characters, excluding spaces. Titles, authors, addresses, etc, are not included in this limitation.
    • Please refrain from writing the lecture title in uppercase letters, and make only thrifty use of sum formulas.
    • There will be no proofreading. Please make sure that your Short Abstract is free of spelling mistakes.
  • We reserve the right to make formal changes to your Short Abstract for the publication in the abstract volume (e.g. correction of upper and lower case in the title or the formatting of sum formulas).

The following concerns all submitters:

  • If you would like to submit a lecture or poster to an event, you must first register for participation in this event. Afterwards, you can submit your contribution through the congress management system.
  • If you have been registered for this event by a third person, a contribution can only be submitted via the user account of this person on your behalf.
  • Your choice when submitting a contribution - poster or lecture - is not binding. The program committee decides whether your submission will be included in the program as a lecture or as a poster. You will be informed about the decision in time by e-mail and via your account in the congress management system.
  • If your submitted contribution is not accepted by the Program Committee, you can cancel your participation free of charge until January 31st, 2017. Please write an email to the DKG office at congress@dkg.de.
  • The Program Committee expects all lecturers and authors whose contributions have been accepted to pay their participation fees up to January 31st, 2017. If you have not paid your participation fee yet, your submission will not be considered in the program and in the conference documents. In this case, the abstract will not be included in the abstract volume.
  • Particularly suitable contributions may be published in the DKG journal “cfi / Ber. der DKG" and in the international ceramic trade magazine "Journal of Ceramic Science and Technology (JCST)". These contributions are selected by the program committee with the publishers of the journals after the symposium. In this case, you will be contacted by a member of the Program Committee.
